Portrait of the duo 2012

The duo Faltsch Wagoni has been making music theater since 1982 . The two artists Silvana Prosperi and Thomas Prosperi (née Busse, married to Silvana Prosperi since December 2008) describe themselves as singers, musicians, actors, stage designers, lyricists, directors, cabaret artists, instrument inventors and composers. They regard their work and their life as a total work of art .

Career

Silvana Prosperi is a German-Italian born in Stuttgart . She studied sports and French to become a teacher in Munich , but broke off her studies and worked as a street vendor and as a music critic for the German city newspaper Das Blatt . For a while she played in the bands Hauptsache Lustig and Avanti Dilettanti . Thomas Prosperi was also born in Stuttgart and grew up in a family of artists. Since he has mastered numerous musical instruments, he performed as a street musician Tommi and the mobile EinsatzorKester in the 1970s .

Silvana Prosperi and Thomas Prosperi met in Munich in the early 1980s . She interviewed him - the scene and street musician "Tommi" - for the Munich city newspaper Blatt . Since that time the duo has been doing funny, playful music cabaret with depth with inexhaustible imagination and energy.

Their first joint appearances were pure music programs with German texts and weird rhythms between punk and new wave . Soon, however, they developed full-length programs with still weird music and funny or wicked socially critical texts. Since 1993 the duo has performed in numerous countries at the invitation of the Goethe Institute . The tours went through Europe, Africa and North America. The first CD was released in 1994 . From 1998 to 2001 Faltsch Wagoni appeared at times with the cabaret artist and theater maker Philipp Mosetter . In 2007 the duo celebrated their 25th stage anniversary.

The artist couple lives in the Starnberg district .
