Regionalliga North
The Regionalliga Nord for teams from Lower Saxony, Hamburg, Bremen, Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is managed by the State Ice Sports Association of Lower Saxony (NEV) for the so-called Northern Association , consisting of the regional associations of the federal states involved. The Regionalliga Nord plays a joint championship round with the Regionalliga Ost this season.
Mode and appointments
A double round will be played until February 10, 2019. The top four will then take part in the joint championship round with the Regionalliga Ost. There is no relegation. For the 2019/20 season, the league will be topped up by promoted players from the association league.
Attendees
Last year's champions Bremen renounced promotion to the league. The EHC Timmendorfer Strand 06 had reported for the regional league after its withdrawal from the Oberliga, but went into bankruptcy in August 2018. During the summer break, it was decided to increase the league to ten teams, but the potential successors in the regional league moved back, so that only the ECW Sande is new in the league.
