The ice hockey regional league of the 2006/2007 season was again played in the form of the Regionalliga Nordost , the Regionalliga West (formerly NRW), the Regionalliga Hessen , the Baden-Württemberg-Liga and the Bayernliga .

The joint promotion round of the Regional Leagues West, Hessen and BaWü were allocated two promotion places. Both playoff finalists from the Bayernliga were allowed to move up to the league.

As a result, ESV Hügelsheim and Mannheimer ERC 1b only participated in the promotion round.

Playoffs

The playoffs are played in a home and away game. In the event of a tie, the better goal difference decides. The champion and the runner-up were eligible for promotion. Since two teams from RL West had qualified, the runner-up was only allowed to move up if the final winners and losers did not come from the same regional league.
