The ESV Bergisch Gladbach is a hockey club from Bergisch Gladbach in Bergisch Land . The club is also known under the name "Real Stars".
history
The association was founded in 2002 after the EC Bergisch Gladbach , also known as "Bensberger Haie", was dissolved. The team started in the Landesliga NRW and in 2005 made it to the Regionalliga West. Two years later, the club withdrew the team from the regional league to the national league despite sporting qualifications. After two promotions, the Real Stars returned to the regional league in 2009. This was followed by a sporty decline that led to last place in the 2012/13 district league season. In the following season, the club did not participate in the game and did not return to the ice until 2015. A year later, he was promoted to the national league.
