Werner Kühn (born November 26, 1958 ) is a former German ice hockey player .

Career

Werner Kühn started his professional career in 1979 with the then reigning German champions , the Kölner Haien . His first title with the sharks won the defensive back five years later, when he and the team in the final of the play-offs the EV Landshut defeated in the decisive final game.

In the following year he reached the final of the European Cup with the KEC , which they lost to CSKA Moscow . In the years between 1986 and 1988 Kühn celebrated three more championships in a row with the Haien. Until the end of the 1989/90 season he played without interruption in Cologne before he moved to EC Ratingen in the 2nd division .

After two years in Ratingen, he returned to the Haien in 1992, but after only one year moved on to EHC Neuwied and the Grefrather EV in the following season . There he played three more years in the 2nd Bundesliga before he ended his active career in 2000 at ESV Bergisch Gladbach in the Regionalliga. Werner Kühn is still associated with ice hockey today and plays in the traditional team of the KEC, among others.
