Rebecca Lunderup

Rebecca Lunderup (born October 1994 ) is a German student. The Hamburg native, who lived in Lokstedt at the time , became known because she and friends initiated the event "Hamburg clears up!" Via Facebook in July 2017 , which cleaned up the city of Hamburg with 10,000 participants after the G20 riots .

Career

Lunderup attended the Heidberg high school . She is a trained biological-technical assistant (School of Life Science Hamburg) and has been studying vocational education at the University of Hamburg with a focus on chemical engineering and biology since the 2017/2018 winter semester .

Honors

Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Hamburg's first mayor Olaf Scholz personally thanked Lunderup for their commitment after the G20 summit. The Hamburger Abendblatt awarded her the “Hamburgerin des Jahres 2017” award. In addition, the Bauer Media Group dubbed her “everyday heroine”.
