    Promotion and German amateur championship

    As Bremen representative, the Bremer SV took part in the subsequent round of promotion to the Oberliga Nord , but had no success there.

    The amateurs of Werder Bremen took part in the German Amateur Championship in 1957 and were eliminated by a 2-3 defeat against BFC Alemannia 90 .
