The Nordsøen ( Danish " North Sea ") is a former fisheries protection ship of the Danish fisheries authority Fiskeristyrelsen.

history

The ship was built under hull number 274 at the shipyard Frederikshavn Vaerft & Tördok for the then Fiskeriministeriet (Ministry of Fisheries). The keel was laid in 1967, the launch on August 6, 1968. The ship was also completed in 1968.

The ship was primarily used in the North Sea, in the Skagerrak and in the Kattegat in the area of ​​surveillance and control of fisheries and was also available for relief missions. It was decommissioned in January 2013. The tasks of the ship were taken over by the other three fishery protection boats of the nature conservation authority NaturErhvervstyrelsen.

At the end of April 2013, the ship was auctioned for DKK 6.55 million by Esbjerg- based company FOGA, which works as a consultant and appraiser in the fishing and offshore sector. It can be used for the transport of people or material and as a security ship in the field of offshore construction .

The ship is powered by two MAN B & W - diesel engines of type 6L23 / 30DM with a total of 1,620  kW power driven. The motors act on two variable pitch propellers via reduction gears . The ship is equipped with an electrically powered bow thruster .

A shaft generator and two generators powered by Scania diesel engines are available to generate electricity . An emergency generator was also installed.

The superstructures are located in the middle of the ship. An open working deck is located behind the superstructure. Two tow winches are installed here. Two 20-foot containers can be carried on the working deck . Cabins for twelve people are available on board in addition to the crew .
