Ministeriet for Fødevarer, Landbrug og Fiskeri
The Ministeriet for Fødevarer, Landbrug og Fiskeri was the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries of the Kingdom of Denmark from 1997 to 2015 .
history
In 1896 the Ministry of Agriculture ( Landbrugsministeriet ) was founded. The Danish fishery was also subject to this until 1929, when the Ministry of Fisheries ( Fiskeriministeriet ) was founded, which was merged in 1935 in the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries ( Ministeriet for Søfart og Fiskeri ). In 1947, shipping and fishing were separated again. The Agriculture and Fisheries departments were merged again in 1994 to form the Agriculture and Fisheries Ministry ( Landbrugs- og Fiskeriministeriet ). This went up on June 28, 2015 in the Ministry of Environment and Food .
The reorganization in 1997 was an expression of the relocated consumer and industrial interests. The forestry and land registry departments originally belonging to the Ministry of Agriculture were transferred to the Ministry of Environment in 1973 and to the Ministry of Housing ( Boligministeriet ) in 1987 . With the establishment of the Ministry of Family and Consumer Affairs ( Ministeriet for Familie- og Forbrugeranliggender ), some areas of food were transferred to this ministry. After the dissolution of this ministry in 2007, the relevant subject areas were returned to the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries. Because of the university reform that came into force on January 1, 2007, the Ministry had to hand over the Kingdom's fisheries studies to Denmark's Technical University and the Kingdom's agricultural research to Aarhus University .
