Dan Jørgensen

Dan Jørgensen (born June 12, 1975 in Odense ) is a Danish politician of the Social Democrats and since June 27, 2019 Minister for Climate, Energy and Supply in the Frederiksen cabinet . He was previously Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries in the Thorning-Schmidt I and II governments .

From 2004 to 2013 he was a member of the European Parliament . In the European elections in 2009 , Jørgensen ran as the top candidate of his party. His political priorities include a. the climate challenge and animal welfare .

He received a bachelor's degree in political science from Aarhus University , where he continued to work as a visiting professor.
