General election 2007

Following the early Folketing elections in 2007 , the coalition of right-wing liberals and conservatives that had existed since 2001 was continued with the tolerance of the right-wing populist Dansk Folkeparti . Later changes

The resignation of Bendt Bendtsen as party leader and from the office of economics minister led to a castling among the conservative ministers on September 10, 2008 . Lene Espersen took over his position, Brian Mikkelsen replaced Espersen as Minister of Justice and was inherited by Carina Christensen as Minister of Culture. Lars Barfoed took over their previous position in the Ministry of Transport .

When Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen was nominated for the post of NATO Secretary General , he passed power to his crown prince in the party that formed the Lars Løkke Rasmussen I government.
