The government of Hedtoft I ( Danish : regeringen Hedtoft I ) under the Social Democratic Prime Minister Hans Hedtoft was the Danish government from November 13, 1947 to September 16, 1950. Acting king was Friedrich IX.
The Hedtoft I government was the 44th Danish cabinet since the March Revolution . Except for the independent Foreign Minister Gustav Rasmussen , who had already served in the Kristensen government , all ministers were members of the Social Democrats. The new office of a housing minister was created, and the ministry for social affairs and labor was separated. There were many cabinet reshuffles, the largest on September 16, 1950. Which is why there is talk of a Hedtoft II government from this time on .
