Karl Kristian Steincke (born August 25, 1880 in Viskinge near Kalundborg , Denmark, † April 8, 1963 in Frederiksberg ) was a Danish social democratic lawyer and politician.

He served from 1924 to 1926, from 1935 to 1939 and again for a few months in 1950 as Minister of Justice, and from 1929 to 1935 as Minister of Social Affairs in Denmark. In this role he played a prominent role in shaping the Danish welfare state . As a supporter of eugenics , he advocated the forced sterilization of addicts, sex criminals and the mentally handicapped .
