Sehested government
The Sehested government was formed in Denmark on April 27, 1900 by Hannibal Sehested from Højre and replaced the Hørring government . The Sehested government was in office until July 24, 1901, when it was replaced by the Deuntzer government.
Sehesteds Højre had previously lost eight of its 16 seats in the Folketing elections on April 3, 1901, and a parliamentary system of government was introduced, with the result that the king could no longer appoint a prime minister against the informal will of parliament.
