Claus Hjort Frederiksen
Claus Hjort Frederiksen (born September 4, 1947 ) is a Danish politician of the Venstre party and was Defense Minister in the Lars Løkke Rasmussen III government .
Claus Hjort Frederiksen graduated from school in 1966 and studied law in 1972. From 1973 he worked in the secretariat of the Venstre party and for the Ministry of Agriculture. From 1985 to 2001 he was general secretary of his party. Frederiksen has been a member of the Folketing since November 13, 2007, after having served on the Copenhagen Council for two years.
From November 27, 2001 to April 7, 2009, Frederiksen was Minister for Development in the Fogh Rasmussen I , II and III cabinets . Already in the Lars Løkke Rasmussen I government, he held the office of finance minister from April 7, 2009 to October 3, 2011, and on June 28, 2015 he took over the office of the Lars Løkke Rasmussen II government again.
