Christopher Krabbe

Christopher Krabbe (born July 20, 1833 on Holgershåb on Falster , † May 22, 1913 in Hellerup ) was a Danish politician.

Life

Origin and family

Christopher Krabbe came from the line crab to Damsgård noble settlement of crab . His father was Anton Krabbe, his mother his wife Vilhelmine, nee. Nyrop. Krabbe married Marie Boesen (* 1837; † unknown), daughter of Joachim Boesen and his wife, b. Knudsen.

career

In 1852 Krabbe received his Abitur in Sorø, in 1859 he graduated as cand. Jur. He then worked as a journalist, including at Fædrelandet . In 1870 Krabbe was appointed senior rights procurator, after he had been appointed senior rights procurator on probation since 1868. In 1871 he was appointed district judge on Fejø. In 1876 he became town and district bailiff in Grenaa , and in 1883 in Skive . From 1881 to 1892 he was the owner of Hald Ege and from 1886 to 1909 Krabbe was district bailiff in Lysgård .

From 1864 to 1884 and from 1895 Krabbe was a member of the Folketing for Kalundborg County . From 1870 to 1883 he was chairman of the Folketing. He was also a board member of the Dansk Folkemuseum , the administration of Julius Skrikes Stiftelse, the bank council of the Landmandsbanken and the council of Geografisk Selskab and from 1879 to 1895 on the board of the Danish rifle clubs. He was Minister of Defense in the Zahle cabinet .
