The Düneberger SV is a sports club from Geesthacht in the Duchy of Lauenburg . The first soccer team played for a year in the highest amateur league in Hamburg .

history

The association was founded in 1919. The team became known in the 1950s as the " dynamite footballers" because the inventor of dynamite, Alfred Nobel , had it produced in Geesthacht. In 1953 he was promoted to the Hammonia Association . Four years later, the Dünebergers knocked on the door of the Hamburg upper house for the first time when the team ended the season tied with the Ahrensburg TSV . The necessary play-off in the old Millerntor Stadium ended 2-2 in front of 12,000 spectators. In the replay, the Düneberger lost seconds before the final whistle with 0: 1.

A year later, DSV secured the championship and promotion to the Hamburg amateur league with a four-point lead over TSV Duwo 08 . Already in the following season 1958/59 the relegation followed as bottom of the table. After some top performers then ended their careers, the team was promptly passed into the district league. In 1964 the team returned to the Hammonia Association and stayed in Hamburg's second-highest division until 1971.

Then the club commuted between the district and district league. In 2008, the team was relegated to the district class, managed direct promotion and promptly marched through to the district league East , from which the club relegated to the district league in 2012. Five years later, he was promoted to the district league and in 2018 was promoted to the state league.
