The 1st Amateur League North Baden 1956/57  was the seventh season of the  1st Amateur League  in North Baden - the forerunner of today's  Baden Association League . North Badischer Amateur champion became the fourth consecutive year, the TSV Amicitia Viernheim . In the fourth attempt Viernheim won the promotion round to Division II and was promoted. As a South German amateur champion, Viernheim then took part in the German amateur championship in 1957 , losing there in the semifinals against the Berlin champions BFC Alemannia 90 .

The VfB Bretten and TSG Plankstadt had to descend to the 2nd Amateur League. SG Kirchheim / Heidelberg and SV Sandhausen were promoted for the following season . The relegated Karlsruher FV came from Division II for the following season .
