The season 1952/53 the Amateur Oberliga Niedersachsen was the fourth season of highest Lower Saxony amateur league in football . At that time it took the second highest level in the German league system. A master was not played out. For the promotion round to the Oberliga Nord , Eintracht Braunschweig , VfB Oldenburg and VfL Wolfsburg qualified, with Braunschweig prevailing. Eintracht Osnabrück rose from the Oberliga Nord to the Amateur Oberliga Niedersachsen.

The relegation places were taken by TSV Gnarrenburg , SC Nordenham and TuS Varel in the west and Tuspo Holzminden and SV Vienenburg in the east . For that rose from the amateur league Lower Saxony of VfL Bückeburg that sports fans Oesede and TSV Verden in the Western group and the FC Grone on the Group East. The TSV Goslar 08 changed its name to Goslarer SC 08 . For the 1953/54 season, Prussia moved Hameln to the Eastern Group.

1 Eintracht Nordhorn renounced the promotion round to the Oberliga Nord and therefore took part in the German amateur championship.

Playoffs for 13th place

The teams from Delmenhorst and Varel tied for points determined the third relegated team from the West season in a decider. The game was played on May 10, 1953 in Brake . Delmenhorst prevailed and sent Varel into the amateur league.
