history
The club, founded on September 7, 1912 under the name Teutonia Football Club, was renamed on April 4, 1919, when the name "Football Club" was replaced by a sports association , and was entered in the register of associations on October 24, 1921 as the Teutonia Uelzen eV sports association . The club's men's soccer team, which won the Heide and District Cup several times, played in the post-war period from 1949 on in the then highest division in Lower Saxony, the Amateur Oberliga Ost . When the league was dissolved for the 1964/65 season, Teutonia first had to take a step lower in the Association League East . In 1968 the team, as champions of the Association League East, was promoted to the state league , where they could hold out for another ten years.
In 1970 a women's football department was established.
