Richard Kubus (born March 30, 1914 in Gliwice , † October 5, 1987 in Uelzen ) was a German football player .
Career
societies
Kubus belonged as a defender to Vorwärts-Lawn Sport Gleiwitz and played from 1934 to 1941 in the Gauliga Schlesien in one of 16 Gauligen in the time of National Socialism as a uniform top division in the German Reich .
The 1941/42 season he played in the Gauliga Oberschlesien , one of the Gauliga Schlesien divided into two groups, in addition to the Gauliga Lower Silesia . During this time he won the Gaume Championship six times with his club, except in 1937 when the first Gaumeister , the SuSV 09 by Beuthen , had to give way.
As Gaumeister Silesia and the associated participation in the final round of the German Championship, he played a total of 26 games, where he played all six group games in 1935 , 1938 and 1939 and in 1936, also the semi-finals and the game for third place .
The 1943/44 season he played for the Breslauer SpVgg 02 in the Gauliga Lower Silesia, whose group B he finished with the team as a winner, as well as the finals against group winner A , the SC Vorwärts Breslau . In the subsequent final group, in which the three group winners had to compete against each other in the round-robin tournament , he and his team took second place.
His later football stations were then Teutonia Uelzen and the TuS Wennigsen / Deister , a multi-branch club in the municipality of the same name in the Hanover region .
Selection / national team
Appointed to the selection team Gau Schlesien, he took part in the Gau selection competition for the Reichsbund Cup in 1938/39 . After victories over the selected teams Gauliga Nordmark , Gauliga Ostmark , Gauliga Württemberg , he reached the final , which was won on March 5, 1939 in Dresden with 2-1 against the team Gauliga Bayern . With Günther Mettke , Wilhelm Koppa , Alfred Wydra , Ernst Plener , Robert Pischzek and Reinhard Schaletzki , six other players from his club were in the final selection . Kubus later played as a representative for the selection team of the Lower Saxony Football Association .
He played his only international match for the senior national team on December 3, 1939 in Chemnitz in a 3-1 victory over the national team of Slovakia , even though he was invited to a DFB course again in 1941.
