The Gauliga Schlesien 1935/36 was the third season of the Gauliga Schlesien in football. This year's Gaume Championship was played again in a round-robin tournament with ten teams in the first and second leg. The championship was secured for the second time by the SpVgg Vorwärts-Rasensport Gleiwitz with eight points ahead of SC Preußen Hindenburg . The Gliwice qualified for the German soccer championship 1935/36 in which they were able to prevail in a group with Werder Bremen , Eimsbütteler TV and Viktoria Stolp and reached the semi-finals. This was lost 3-1 to Fortuna Düsseldorf despite a 1-0 lead . In the game for 3rd place, Gleiwitz then lost to FC Schalke 04 with a clear 1: 8. Reaching the semi-finals at the German soccer championship was the greatest success of a soccer team from the Gauliga Schlesien. The relegation ranks were occupied by the SpVgg Deichsel Hindenburg and VfB 98 Breslau . Reichsbahn-SV Gleiwitz and SC Hertha rose from the district leagues in 1915 Breslau .

The champions of the three district leagues Lower, Central and Upper Silesia were qualified for the promotion round. These then competed against each other in a round-robin tournament with a return game. The two best teams rose.
