The District League Middle Silesia 1940/41 (from this year 1st Class Middle Silesia ) was the eighth season of the District League Middle Silesia . It served, in addition to the District League Lower Silesia 1940/41 , the District League Upper Silesia East 1940/41 and the District League Upper Silesia West 1940/41 as one of four second-rate district leagues the substructure of the Gauliga Silesia . The champions of the four district classes qualified for a promotion round, in which the promoted to Gauliga were played.
The district league of Central Silesia was played in two groups with eight teams each in a round-robin tournament with a return match this season. The two group winners played the district champion in two finals. In the end, the Reichsbahn SG Oels prevailed and qualified for the promotion round to the Gauliga Schlesien 1941/42 . Since it was decided to divide the Gauliga Schlesien into the Gauliga Lower Silesia and the Gauliga Upper Silesia for the next season , all teams rose from this promotion round. In addition, the two runners-up in the groups, SC Alemannia Breslau and DSV Schweidnitz , played a deciding round for two more starting places together with the fourth-placed from the group Breslau, VfR Schlesien 1897 Breslau and the relegated from the Gauliga Schlesien 1940/41 , SC Vorwärts Breslau Gauliga Lower Silesia 1941/42 .
With the division of the Gauliga Schlesien, the district class Middle Silesia ended. The clubs played from the next year in the 1st class Lower Silesia , which functions as the substructure of the Lower Silesia Gauliga .

Final championship district league
In the final of the championship in the district league, the winner of the Bergland group, SV Preußen Waldenburg-Altwasser , and the winner of the Breslau group, RSG Oels , met. The first leg took place on May 25, 1941 in Altwasser , the second leg on June 1, 1941 in Oels . Oels was able to prevail and took part as a Middle Silesian representative in the promotion round to the Gauliga Schlesien 1941/42 , in which all participating teams made the promotion.
