The District League Central Silesia 1939/40 was the seventh season of the District League Central Silesia . In addition to the Lower Silesian District League 1939/40 and the Upper Silesian District League 1939/40, it served as one of three second-rate district leagues in the substructure of the Gauliga Silesia . The champions of the three district classes qualified for a promotion round in which two promoted to Gauliga were played.

The district league of Central Silesia was played in two groups with six and seven teams in a round-robin tournament with a return game this season. The two group winners played the district champion in two finals. In the end, the SC Vorwärts Breslau prevailed and qualified for the promotion round to Gauliga Schlesien 1940/41 . In this, the Breslau team prevailed together with VfB Liegnitz and rose to the Gauliga for the coming season. The District League Middle Silesia was renamed 1st Class Middle Silesia for the next season .

Final championship district league

In the final of the championship in the district league, the winner of the Bergland group, DSV Schweidnitz , and the winner of the Breslau group, SC Vorwärts Breslau , met. The first leg took place on June 23, 1940 in Schweidnitz , the second leg on June 30, 1940 in Breslau . Breslau prevailed and took part as a Middle Silesian representative in the promotion round to Gauliga Schlesien 1940/41 , in which the team made it to the Gauliga.
