The SV Preußen Waldenburg-Altwasser was a sports club from the Waldenburg district of Altwasser until 1945 .

history

The club was founded in 1915 as SV Preußen 1915 Altwasser and belonged to the Southeast German Football Association . The rural community Altwasser was incorporated into the city of Waldenburg in 1919. The club was renamed SV Preußen Waldenburg-Altwasser .

For the 1921/22 season Waldenburg-Altwasser rose to the then top regional league in Lower Silesia .

In 1933, SV Preußen Waldenburg-Altwasser missed the qualification for the newly introduced Gauliga Schlesien and from then on played in the third class district class.

In 1935/36 the club succeeded in winning the 1st district class Waldenburg , which allowed him to participate in the promotion round to the district league Central Silesia , which the club successfully competed and thus rose to the second-class district league of Central Silesia .

In 1943 the club rose to the Gauliga Lower Silesia and reached second place in the table in their last season in the Bergland group. A game operation in the 1944/45 season is not recorded.

After the end of the Second World War, the city of Waldenburg became Polish and the SV Preußen Waldenburg-Altwasser association was dissolved.
