The Waldenburger Sportverein 1909 (also called SV Waldenburg 09 or WSV) was a German sports club from the Lower Silesian town of Waldenburg (today Wałbrzych, Poland).
history
The club was founded in 1909 as Waldenburger SV 1909 and belonged to the Southeast German Football Association . In 1931 and 1933 the club was Bergland-Meister and was thus allowed to take part in the south-east German championship finals .
In 1933, the Waldenburger SV missed the qualification for the newly introduced Gauliga Schlesien and from then on played in the second-rate district league of Central Silesia .
In 1943 the club rose to the Gauliga Lower Silesia and reached sixth place in the table in their last season in the Bergland group. A game operation in the 1944/45 season is not recorded.
After the end of the Second World War, the city of Waldenburg became Polish and the Waldenburger SV association was dissolved.
