The 1st class Lower Silesia 1941/42 served as the substructure of the Gauliga Lower Silesia 1941/42 . In the league system of the Sportgau Lower Silesia it was the second level. After the Gauliga Schlesien was divided into the Gauligen Lower and Upper Silesia , there were also changes in the second level of the league system. From this season, clubs from the former district leagues of Lower and Middle Silesia played a group winner in the four regional groups Bergland, Breslau, Görlitz and Liegnitz in a round-robin tournament with a round trip. The four group winners then competed against each other in a decisive round, the two best teams were promoted to the Gauliga Lower Silesia for the coming season.

Bergland group

The Bergland group was played with 8 teams this season. The LSV Richthofen Schweidnitz prevailed and thus took part in the promotion round, in which the Schweidnitzer made it through a second place. There was no relegation in this group this season.

Wroclaw Group

The Breslau group was played with 10 teams this season, with two clubs withdrawing from the league during the season. The LSV Immelmann Breslau prevailed and thus took part in the promotion round, in which the Breslauer made it to the Gauliga by taking first place.

Goerlitz group

The group was played with 7 teams this season. The Reichsbahn SG Görlitz prevailed and thus took part in the promotion round, in which the Görlitzers missed promotion to the Lower Silesia Gauliga by taking last place.
