The SV 33 Klettendorf was a German football club from the Lower Silesia Klettendorf in district Wroclaw . Klettendorf has been part of the city of Wroclaw since 1951 .

history

In 1933 the Gauliga des Gaues Schlesien was set up with 10 clubs. Among other things, the Nazis banned a workers' association from the south of Wroclaw . However, these kickers went to the then village of Klettendorf and founded SV 33 Klettendorf , which also knew how to "camouflage" itself with brown and white club colors.

Gauliga Silesia

The association was founded on May 19, 1933. In 1934 he was champion of the 2nd district class and rose to the 1st district class in Breslau . This was also finished in first place in the table, so that Klettendorf was allowed to participate in the promotion round to the district league of Central Silesia . In this, the team prevailed against five other clubs and rose to the second-rate district league Middle Silesia . Already in the first season 1935/36 Klettendorf was second and only had to admit defeat to Gauliga relegated SC Hertha Breslau . In the following season 1936/37 the club finally managed to become champions of the district league with a six point lead. The promotion round to Gauliga Schlesien was successfully designed so that the club was promoted to Gauliga Schlesien , one of the sixteen highest German leagues at the time. In the 1939/40 season , Klettendorf fell victim to the frequent reorganization of the football department . The Gauliga Schlesien was expanded by four participants this season and played for the first time in two groups, but this change was reversed for the coming season, so that half of the clubs in the Middle Silesia group had to be relegated. Klettendorf missed the safe shore with fifth place by one point and after three years of membership in the Gauliga had to relegate to the second class. 40/41 , the club temporarily withdrew from gaming. 1941/42 was another complete season in the second division , now reorganized into 1st class Lower Silesia ; played before the club withdrew completely from gaming.

After the end of the Second World War, the village of Klettendorf became Polish and the SV 33 Klettendorf association was dissolved.

Tschammer Cup

In 1939 the Klettendorfer achieved the greatest success in the club's history. Although they did not get any weak opponents drawn, they reached the second main round in the Tschammer Cup , the forerunner of the DFB Cup . Here, however, the Lower Silesians were defeated in the German capital by the Berliner SV 92 with 1: 6. Despite the high defeat, they were praised in the press for their committed play and willingness to fight.
