The LSV rose in the 1940/41 season from the then third class 1st district class to the second class district league Lower Silesia , where it was integrated into Division 2 . In the first season there, the team ended up in seventh place, but with 50:51 goals after 17 games they had an almost equal goal difference. With the merger of the district leagues in the 1st class Lower Silesia for the 1941/42 season , the club was regrouped and this time ended up in the Görlitz group . There the club landed directly in second place at the end of the season with a very small gap on the first place, the Reichsbahn SG Görlitz , which also withdrew from the league after the end of the season. With a 3: 2 win n.V. over KSG Lauban also in 1942, the LSV was able to qualify for the Tschammerpokal for the first time , but failed there in the first final round with 12: 3 at the Breslauer SpVgg 02 . This should be one of the biggest defeats of this Tschammerpokal season. In the 1942/43 season it was only enough for third place. But since the 1st class was dissolved after this season, they rose for the first time in the first league, the Gauliga Lower Silesia . In the season Görlitz of the group Görlitz / Liegnitz was at the end of the first first division season again the third place for the club on the table. In the 1944/45 season , games in the LSV group were no longer started. At the latest at the end of the Second World War , the association was also dissolved.
