Reichsbahn-SV Gleiwitz , also called Reichsbahn SG Gleiwitz , was a sports club from Gleiwitz . The first team played in the first-class Gauliga Schlesien in the 1930s .
history
Reichsbahn-SV Gleiwitz was founded in 1926 and wore the club colors black and white . In the early years, the Reichsbahner sports club played in the lower leagues.
In 1936, the Reichsbahn-SV Gleiwitz was promoted to the top football class at the time, the Gauliga Schlesien .
In the Gauliga season 1936/37 the Reichsbahn-SV took fifth place.
In the 1939/40 season , the Gleiwitzer could no longer maintain the level of play and were the last to descend.
After the end of the Second World War, the city of Gleiwitz became Polish and the Reichsbahn-SV Gleiwitz association was dissolved.
Venue
The venue of the Reichsbahn-SV Gleiwitz was the Gleiwitz RSV Stadium. The square is now called Boisko KKS "Kolejarz", przy ulicy Sportowej and is the home of the KKS Kolejarz Gliwice football club .
