The Lüssumer TV was a sports club from the Bremen district of Blumenthal . The first soccer team played in the highest amateur league in Bremen for 20 years and once took part in the DFB Cup .

history

The association was founded in 1898. A football department was not established until after the Second World War . 1951 succeeded for the first time promotion to the Landesliga Bremen , which was then the highest Bremen amateur league. When the second regional league ascent in 1966, the LTV could only hold for one season in the Bremen upper house. It only worked better with the third attempt in 1971. In the 1979/80 season the LTV reached third place in the association league behind SFL Bremerhaven and FT Geestemünde . Four years later, the Lüssumer were relegated from the association league and in 1987 slipped into the district league. Between the years 2000 and 2003, the team reached the association league again. In 2006, Lüssumer TV, which was playing in the Bremen Landesliga at the time , had to file for bankruptcy. Four years later, the LTV footballers transferred to Lüssumer SV , which was founded in 2006 and had to start in the 1st district class .
