The Sport-Club Poppenbüttel from 1930 e. V. is a sports club in Hamburg-Poppenbüttel that was founded in 1930 as a football club . From 1949 the activities were extended to other sports and the club became Hamburg's larger sports club .

When the two-track national football league for women was introduced in 1990/1991, the first team of SC Poppenbüttel was one of the founding members of the North Group. After the decline in 1992, the department was dissolved. The first men's team, as champions of the Landesliga Hammonia 2015/16, waived their right of promotion for economic reasons and had to compete in the district class, the actual division of the second team.

The first women’s table tennis team was promoted to the second Bundesliga in 2001 , but for financial reasons did not move up to the first Bundesliga in 2004 and is currently playing in the Regionalliga Nord .
