James Acheson

James Acheson (* 1946 in Leicester ) is a British costume designer .

James Acheson is one of the most respected costume designers in the film industry. He has received three Oscar awards for his work : The Last Emperor by Bernardo Bertolucci (1988), Dangerous Liaisons by Stephen Frears (1989) and Time of Sensuality by Michael Hoffman (1996). For these films he was also nominated or awarded the BAFTA Award for the best costumes . He created his first work for the Monty Python films in the early 1980s. He also created the costumes for the 2002 Spider-Man series .
