The 1st amateur league North Württemberg 1970/71 was the tenth season of the 1st amateur league . The amateurs of VfB Stuttgart won the championship with the better goal difference in front of SpVgg 07 Ludwigsburg tied on points . Since VfB Stuttgart as an amateur team was not eligible for promotion, Ludwigsburg took part in the promotion round to the Regionalliga Süd and managed to get promoted. Stuttgart competed for the German amateur championship.

The TG Heilbronn , the SpVgg Neckarsulm and SV Germania Bietigheim had to relegate to the 2nd amateur league.

Sportfreunde Schwäbisch Hall , FV Zuffenhausen and SV Rehnenhof made it to the first amateur league .
