The 1st Amateur League North Württemberg 1971/72 was the twelfth season of the 1st Amateur League in North Württemberg. SSV Ulm won the championship in 1846 with four points ahead of Normannia Gmünd . With a 4-0 win over FC Tailfingen as the best Württemberg team in the Black Forest-Bodensee League, Ulm would also become the Württemberg champions. In the promotion round to the Regionalliga Süd , SSV Ulm only finished third in 1846 and thus missed promotion.

The SV Rehnenhof , the FV Zuffenhausen and the TSF Esslingen dismounted in the second amateur league.
