The 1st Amateur League Southwest 1970/71 was the 24th season of the 1st Amateur League and the 19th season after the merging of the seasons Rheinhessen , Vorderpfalz and Westpfalz . The championship was won by FC Phönix Bellheim , who returned to the Regionalliga Südwest after three years . The SV Gonsenheim dismounted in the second amateur league. The two promoted players from the 2nd amateur league, FV Dudenhofen and FK Clausen , managed to stay up. Clausen benefited as fifteenth from the fact that only one team was relegated this season, as no team from the Regionalliga Südwest had to relegate for the 1971/72 season.
