Max Scharnigg

Max Scharnigg (* 1980 in Munich ) is a German writer.

Life

After graduating from high school, Scharnigg attended a journalism school and has been working as a journalist and author ever since.

He belongs to the editorial team of Jetzt and works as an author for Architectural Digest , Cosmopolitan and the Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin, among others . He also writes a column in the Süddeutsche Zeitung , a selection of which was published in 2010 as a book under the title That I have not understood acoustically now .

In 2011 his debut novel appeared with The Ascent of the Eiger North Face Under a Staircase , which was funded by the City of Munich's Literature Scholarship and awarded the Bavarian Art Prize and the Mara Cassens Prize .

Scharnigg lives and works in Munich.
