Bavarian Art Prize
The Bavarian Art Prize has been awarded annually by the Free State of Bavaria since 1965 . The prize, which is awarded in the fields of visual arts , performing arts , music and dance as well as literature at the suggestion of specialist juries, is currently endowed with 6,000 euros each, and 10,000 euros for ensembles. The prize is awarded to artists up to the age of 40 who have distinguished themselves through special artistic achievements and who have lived and worked in Bavaria for at least two years.
