Life

From 1997 she worked for several years as a model in various European cities. In 2001 she ended her career as a model and started taking photos. In 2010, “Little Red Riding Hood must cry” her first novel was published. In addition to her work as a writer, she has been a dance trainer since 2018. She is married and has two kids.

In 2010, S. Fischer Verlag published her second book for young people, “Tell me about love”, in which she takes an unadorned look at the life of a model. As part of a love story, she describes the dark side of the fashion industry and casting shows in the novel.

With her first adult novel, “Das Apricot Girl”, published by btb in 2018 , she turns to the life of Jewish women during the Third Reich and today. As in the second novel, “From the End of a Long Summer”, the narrative alternates between the past in the 1940s and the present. The theme of the second novel is the loss of the mother and the relationship between mother and daughter.

Together with her sister Susanne Hanika , she also writes fantasy novels, including the series "Dark Angels", which she published under the pseudonyms Kristy Spencer and Tabita Lee Spencer at the suggestion of Arena Verlag .
