Hans-im-Glück Prize
The Hans-im-Glück-Preis is a literary prize that was founded in 1977 by the writer Hans-Christian Kirsch / Frederik Hetmann and his wife Elinor and has been awarded since 1978 - initially annually - to support young authors of young people's books.
Modalities
The award has been given by the district town of Limburg an der Lahn since 1987, and every two years since 1990. The prize is endowed with 3000 euros and endowed with a ball with 24-carat gold leaf. The ball symbolizes the goods of happiness that Hans gave freely and generously in happiness . A five-person jury decides on the award. Both manuscripts and books that have already been published can be submitted. Around 60 titles were viewed by the jury for the 2020 award.
