Dagmar Chidolue [ ˈdagmaʁ tʃidoˈluːə ] (born Schildt; born May 29, 1944 in Sensburg , East Prussia ) is a German writer .

Live and act

Dagmar Chidolue spent her childhood and youth in Gütersloh . After training in business and tax consultancy, she made up her Abitur and studied law and political science . She then worked full-time for a banking association in Frankfurt am Main for decades and has been publishing books for young adults and children since 1976. She has been a freelance writer since 2003 .

Her books for young people focus on “young women looking for their own way”. Awarded several times, she received the German Youth Literature Prize in 1986 for her youth novel Lady Punk . In recent years, Dagmar Chidolue has focused on cheerful children's books, including the numerous volumes in the Millie series published by Dressler Verlag and Fischer-Sauerländer. Other publishers in which she published may include a. Beltz & Gelberg , Fischer KJB , Fischer Duden, Oetinger , Dressler, Ellermann, Coppenrath and Arena Verlag . In 2015 she published a title ( Sugar ) for the first time exclusively on the self-publishing platform epubli under the label of the author community Edition Gegenwind . In 2017 she said goodbye to the author community and since then has published several original editions as well as new editions of her older titles on epubli without a label.

Dagmar Chidolue lives in Frankfurt am Main.
