Herbert Friedmann (Author)

Herbert Friedmann (born February 15, 1951 in Groß-Gerau ; † October 19, 2019 ) was a German writer who was primarily known as a children's and youth author.

Friedmann began an apprenticeship as a retail salesman after completing his school career, but has worked as a freelance writer since 1977 and has published a total of around 80 books. He was also active in children's and youth theater and also for the newspaper and radio. Several of his books have been translated into other languages ​​and have received awards.

Friedmann was a member of the European authors' association DIE KOGGE .

Friedmann had lived in Berlin since 2003.
