Nico Holonics

Nico Holonics (born December 23, 1983 in Gera ) is a German actor .

Life

At the age of eight, Holonics became a member of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Children's Choir , where he later also worked as an ensemble member in the Gewandhaus Choir until 2003. There he took part in concerts with Kurt Masur , Herbert Blomstedt and Giuseppe Sinopoli . From 2003 to 2007 Nico Holonics studied at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin .

His first theater engagement took him as a guest to the Staatsschauspiel Dresden , where he starred in Holk Freytag's production of “ Faust II ”. From 2007 he was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Munich Volkstheater for 3 years . There he was in " Don Karlos " and " Richard III. ”And was awarded the Bavarian Art Prize in 2010 for his portrayal in“ Richard III ”(director: Christian Stückl ) .

With the change of artistic director at the Münchner Kammerspiele in October 2010, Holonics moved to this house, where he worked with Johan Simons , Karin Henkel and Susanne Kennedy .

In 2012 Nico Holonics went to Frankfurt am Main , where he was a permanent member of the ensemble at Schauspiel Frankfurt until 2017 .

Since September 2017 he has been part of the new Berliner Ensemble under the direction of Oliver Reese.

He also works a lot for radio and regularly reads audio books. Holonics teaches as a freelance lecturer at the Mozarteum Salzburg , the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts and the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin.
