Susanne Kennedy

Susanne Kennedy (* 1977 in Friedrichshafen ) is a German theater director .

Life

At the Münchener Kammerspiele in 2011 Susanne Kennedy directed They Shoot Horses, Don't They? and 2013 Marieluise Fleißer's purgatory in Ingolstadt . In 2013 she was named Young Director of the Year (5 votes plus one extra voice in the main category) for Purgatory in Ingolstadt by the trade journal Theater heute . With this piece she also took part in the 51st Berlin Theatertreffen in 2014 . In 2014 she directed Rainer Werner Fassbinder's film Why is Mr. R. running amok? (1970) at the Münchner Kammerspiele . In 2015 she directed Orfeo at the Ruhrtriennale .

At the beginning of 2019, the interactive theater project Coming Society , which Susanne Kennedy developed together with the visual artist Markus Selg , had its first performance at the Berliner Volksbühne .
