Claudinei Alexandre Pires , known as Dinei , (born September 10, 1970 in São Paulo ) is a former Brazilian football player .

The striker began his career with Corinthians , with whom he became Brazilian champions in 1990. At the Copa Libertadores 1991 he reached the last sixteen with the club. In 1992 he moved to Switzerland to the Grasshoppers Zurich , but returned to Brazil after six months. After brief positions at Guarani , Portuguesa and Internacional , he joined Cruzeiro in early 1995 . In mid-1996 he switched to Coritiba , where he was tested positive in a doping control after a short time and banned for eight months.

He then went to Inter de Limeira and Guarani again, before joining his old club Corinthians in 1998. With the club he was Brazilian champion in 1998 and 1999. At the Copa Libertadores 1999 Corinthians reached the semi-finals, where they were eliminated only after penalty shoot-out against eventual tournament winner Palmeiras São Paulo . In January 2000, Dinei won the first edition of the FIFA Club World Cup with Corinthians . At the Copa Libertadores 2000 Corinthians met their local rivals Palmeiras again and lost again on penalties. In 2002 he moved to Santo André and in 2003 to Portuguesa Santista.
