Markus Selg

Markus Selg (* 1974 in Singen (Hohentwiel) ) is a German artist. He lives and works in Berlin.

biography

Markus Selg was born in Singen in 1974. He is one of the founding members of the Isotrop Academy (1996–2000). He was also one of the editors of the magazine "Isotrop". In 2001 he founded the publishing house "Possible Press". In 2005 he was a scholarship holder of the PIN Art Period. Friends of the Pinakothek der Moderne and has been represented in a large number of exhibitions since 1997. Markus Selg was also a co-founder of the Akademie Isotrop , a Hamburg artists' association whose goal was an autonomously organized artist education.

Works

Since the mid-1990s, Selg has been researching the dynamics between archaic myths and computer technology in forms of digital painting, sculpture, moving images, theater and extensive, immersive installations.
