Markus Elsner
Markus Elsner (born April 20, 1970 in Munich ) is a German conductor and chamber musician .
Elsner studied clarinet (with Hubert Hilser) and conducting (with Ulrich Weder) at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich from 1988 to 1996 . He has made guest appearances with orchestras in Poland, Bulgaria and the Ukraine. He has headed the Zeitsprung Ensemble since 2006 and has been the conductor of the Siemens Orchestra Munich eV since April 2007. In 2010 he completed the advanced training course in theater and music management at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. Since 2011 he has been Artistic Director of the Days of New Music in Bamberg . He lives in Munich.
