Life

The artist, who was born in Leonberg, grew up in Calw . From the age of ten, she received singing lessons. Brommer completed a vocal degree at the Munich University of Music and Theater and at the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding . She completed her studies with a diploma and a master class award. The soprano worked at the Augsburg Theater from the 2007/2008 to 2012/2013 season , and subsequently at the Saarbrücken State Theater and Wiesbaden State Theater , among others . In the 2015/16 season the artist became a permanent member of the ensemble at the Graz Opera House . Her roles there include: Konstanze in Die Entführung aus dem Serail , Micaëla in Carmen , Rosa in Humperdinck's “Sleeping Beauty”, Luisa in Luisa Miller , Juliette in Roméo et Juliette by Gounod and Magda in La rondine .

Her roles also include Marzelline in Fidelio , Marie in Zar and Zimmermann , Pamina in Die Zauberflöte , Mimi in La Bohème , Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor , Ottilie in Im Weiße Rössl , Eurydice in Orpheus in der Unterwelt and Orpheus and Eurydice and Violetta in La traviata .

In addition to her theatrical engagement, the artist devotes herself to lieder and oratorio singing. So she stepped z. B. on October 31, 2009 in the Herz-Jesu-Kirche in Augsburg as "Gabriel" and "Eva" at the side of Michael Volle and Ulrich Reß in The Creation by Joseph Haydn .

Her first CD, released in 2013, was highly praised. The Augsburger Allgemeine wrote:

The recording entitled 'Aufbruch' […] is surprising in several ways. Songs based on poems by Goethe and Hermann Hesse - set to music by Schumann, Strauss, Schoeck and Kilpinrn - reveal further artistic facets of the singer. In the song field, too, she succeeds in putting the vocal potential at the service of intelligent design - in famous works, but also in those that rarely appear on program slips. The songs by Othmar Schoeck (1886–1957) in particular are among the highlights of the CD .

The artist's second CD was released in 2014. On this she sings mainly great arias from French and Italian operas: Bellini, Bizet, Donizetti, Verdi etc .: The shimmering, metallic coloring of her voice is impressive, as she knows how to use the glowing steel ... Occasional overprint, expandable text intelligibility hardly diminish the experience value of the CD .

In 1998 and 1999 Brommer took 1st place at the national level in the Jugend musiziert competition in the field of singing. In 2008 she received the Bavarian Art Prize .
