From 1996 to 2001 she was a member of the ensemble at Theater Bremen , where she was able to develop a broad repertoire, including Orfeo, Idamente, Cherubino and Dorabella as well as Octavian. From 2001 the singer was engaged for two seasons at the Nationaltheater Mannheim , where she mainly sang Mozart, but also again Octavian and various roles in Richard Wagner's Ring des Nibelungen . In the summer of 2002 she made her first guest appearance at the Bayreuth Festival , where she also sang one of the three Rhine daughters and one of the nine Valkyries in the following years.

From 2003 to 2009 Daniela Sindram was a member of the ensemble of the Bavarian State Opera , where she sang Dorabella again, but could also be seen and heard as Hansel in Engelbert Humperdinck's fairy tale opera Hansel and Gretel and as Charlotte, Brangäne and composer. Her star role was Octavian in Rosenkavalier by Hugo von Hofmannsthal and Richard Strauss , a classic trouser role that she embodied both in Munich and in her debuts at the Vienna State Opera and the Paris Opéra Bastille in 2006, and later also in Berlin , Dresden, New York and Tokyo. The singer has been working as a freelance artist since the summer of 2009, but has remained connected to the Bavarian State Opera with regular guest appearances - for example as Countess Geschwitz, Venus or Prince Orlofsky.

Daniela Sindram sang at two of Berlin's three major opera houses - at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden , where she appeared as Dorabella and Octavian, and at the Deutsche Oper (DOB), where she has appeared regularly since her debut there in 2009. At the DOB she took on Octavian and composer as well as Fricka, Adriano and Kundry for the first time. Under the musical direction of Christian Thielemann , she sang at the Semperoper in Dresden as well as at the Vienna State Opera , there as Hansel in an enthusiastically received new production by Hansel and Gretel . Further engagements took the singer to La Scala in Milan (as Nicklausse / Muse), to Seattle (as Dulcinea), to the Teatro Real in Madrid (as Miss Jessel) and to the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse (as Brangäne). In Toulouse, the singer will also dare to change her subject in January 2018 - as Sieglinde in Die Walküre .

The singer has also appeared on many concert stages. Her repertoire includes almost all alto and mezzo parts in oratorio literature as well as song cycles by Mahler , Schönberg , Schubert , Schumann and Wolf . She also sang in a number of concert performances of operas, such as Venus at the BBC Proms in London.
