Irene Hochstetter-Lackner

Irene Hochstetter-Lackner (born April 25, 1973 in Leoben ) is a politician of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ). From November 9, 2017 to October 22, 2019, she was a member of the Austrian National Council . She has been Vice Mayor of Villach since November 2019 .

Life

Irene Hochstetter-Lackner attended a secondary school in Trieben , the commercial academy in Liezen and did an apprenticeship as a mechanic . She worked at the ÖBB and since 2005 she has been a district manager at the Villach and Hermagor Chamber of Labor . Between 1997 and 2013 she was a councilor in Villach and then a city councilor until 2014. On November 9, 2017, she was sworn in in the Austrian National Council. After the National Council election in 2019 , she left the National Council. At the beginning of November 2019, she succeeded Petra Oberrauner as First Vice Mayor of the statutory city of Villach.
